Acting Classes

Performer's Edge Dallas has been training actors and singers of all ages for over a decade. We offer weekly group acting classes and private online lessons.

Monday Group Classes - Evening (Adults 18+)

Classes are each Monday evening. They are held at our Plano Studio. Talent is required to learn important terminology used on film sets, they are taught how to act for the camera and are advised on how to get an agent and keep them in this competitive industry. Guest actors, directors, producers and talent agents are invited to classes periodically to engage in the talents' training. Class is limited to 16 people, so you may be put on a waiting list.

Saturday Group Classes - Day (Adults and Youth 16+)

Classes are each Saturday afternoon. They are held at our Plano Studio. Talent is required to learn important terminology used on film sets, they are taught how to act for the camera and are advised on how to get an agent and keep them in this competitive industry. Guest actors, directors, producers and talent agents are invited to classes periodically to engage in the talents' training. Class is limited to 16 people, so you may be put on a waiting list.

***Because this is primarily an adult class, minors must audition. If accepted into the program, a waiver for minors will need to be signed by a parent or legal gaurdian. We take the well-being of our children and teens very serious at Performer's Edge. No minor is ever left alone with an adult classmate, and acting material for minors is vetted closely.

Friday Group Classes (Kids and Teens)

This class is both in-person and online for ages 9 to 16. For ages 8 and under, we have a seperate class that meets in-person 2x a month. In person classes are the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. For older students, on-line classes are also the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. In-person classes are held at our Plano Studio. Students are required to learn important terminology used on film sets, they are taught how to act for the camera and are advised on how to get an agent and keep them in this competitive industry. Guest actors, directors, producers and talent agents are invited to classes periodically to engage in the students' training. Exposure is at your child's fingertips! Class is limited to 12 students, so you may be put on a waiting list.

*A student must audit the class before being invited to join.

$125 Monthly Fee (4 Weekly Classes for Ages 9 to 16)

$75 Monthly Fee (2 Bi-Monthly Classes for Ages 8 and under)

Private Lessons (on-line)

Private acting lessons for film, commercial, and theatre are also available for ages 5 and older. Acting Workshops at Performer's Edge Dallas provide students with what they need to build a strong foundation in the visual arts. As with all classes at Performer's Edge Dallas, each student and his/her level of experience is taken into account when providing material and planning lessons. Each student will be given the tools they need to grow as an actor in film, television, commercial, and/or theatre. We will work with students and parents to prepare them for the world of acting. How to get an agent, how to audition, how to act on a shoot... Our instructors will answer all the how to's.

$45 per 30 Minute Session
$75 per 60 Minute Session
$165 per Month (4 x 30 Minute Sessions)
